Assistant Underwriter, Salary: £12,000 – Shirley, Birmingham
FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY …… our client, a FTSE 250 Financial Services Provider is looking to recruit an Assistant Underwriter to work in its impressive head office.
The successful candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and be capable of providing a high level of quality customer service to both internal and external customers. Good keyboard skills will be required and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail is imperative. In addition, the successful applicant will have previously demonstrated an ability to adopt a flexible and methodical approach to their work and possess good organisational and communication skills.
Your main responsibilities will be receiving and handling incoming enquiries from Brokers, dealing with criteria issues when necessary; inputting new applicants; instigating broker chase ups and utilising the auto contact function to require additional information from brokers to speed up applications; maintaining credit searches on pending business in accordance with lending criteria; undertaking land registry searches on new business applications, ensuring that security is maintained until completion and assisting with underwriting as and when appropriate.
The package:
This is a full-time permanent position – 37.5 per week.
The salary is up to £12,000 dependant on skills and experience plus benefits including:
